David Harrison LICSW Therapist Arlington, MA

"I believe that dialogue and connection activate resilience and stimulate change. When people feel respected and understood, wounds heal and relationships flourish."

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University where I studied Politics and Philosophy, and earned my Master of Social Work from Boston University.

In addition to inpatient and outpatient work at McLean Hospital and the VA in Bedford, MA, I spent over a decade teaching and counseling in schools including extensive work with at-risk teens and their parents.

I bring expertise in intergenerational and relational issues to my work with clients suffering stubborn, "treatment resistant" depression and with clients experiencing symptoms associated with personality disorders.

My experience, including with survivors of trauma, informs a calm, kind, collaborative approach to therapy. I work with individual adults and couples, and with adolescents 17 years old and up.
